Tour Operator News One of the main topics being discussed at the MITT exhibition was Aeroflot's decision to create a massive, new Tour Operation. Registered in late 2000 by 2 Aeroflot subsidiaries, Sherotel and Aviabusiness the company has a substantial charter capital and is being managed by a combination of Tourism Specialists and Directors with banking experience. The World of Aeroflot will have the support of Aeroflot's network of over 130 representative offices around the world, however the trade has been re-assured that the new company would not receive and specialised treatment. The company is expected to become a major influence in the market with strategic alliances being negotiated with the German TUI Group and other leading Travel Companies.  |
