The 7th International Trade Fair for Tourism Otdykh-Leisure took place in the spectacular Olympic Stadium in Moscow in mod-October.

Professionally build stands at Otdykh-Leisure 2001 |
Otdykh-Leisure is firmly established as the main autumn trade fair for tourism in the CIS and marks the beginning of the winter season on the Russian travel market and is the second most important Tourism Exhibition in Russia.

Busy trade only days |
First held in 1995 Otdykh-Leisure soon out-grew its initial venue, the Manege and moved on 1998 to the Olympic Stadium with a floor space of 11,0000 square meters. The exhibition is a colourful and professional event with many extensive National stands and creative design even amongst the smaller exhibitors.
For the 2001 event 673 exhibitors were present from 49 countries exhibiting on a gross surface of 12,500 square meters. There were 271 International exhibitors registered from 49 countries and 21 National Tourism Stands.
The first 2 days of the event were successfully Trade Only with substantial numbers of interested buyers coming from all over Russia and the CIS. The last 2 days are then also open to the public and exhibitors were generally impressed with the quality and interest of the public victors.

It is estimated that there were approximately 55,000 visitors and that more than 80% of these were trade visitors.
Otdykh-Leisure 2002 will be held from 16-19 October 2002 at the Olympic Sports Complex in Moscow and reservations for space are should be made early as the event is expected to be sold out.
