Russian visitors started arriving early and it was interesting to note a number of leading names in the Russian Travel Trade visiting the workshop further proving the importance of the event.
A steady flow of Russian Travel staff continued though the morning keeping the International delegate very busy. Their numbers were joined in the afternoon by representatives from many large Russian businesses further indicating the exceptional potential for MICE and business travel from Russia.
Also introduced this year was 'Absentee Participation'. "With the expenses of travelling to Russia many suppliers have contacted us wishing to try 'putting a toe' into the waters of this market. Therefore Absentee participation has been established enabling International suppliers to be represented at the event through professional local staff. "Our Absentee Participators received detailed lists of the Russian Companies showing specific interest in their offers in addition to receiving the full list of all Russian visitors".
