Strong Marketing efforts shows confidence in this resilient market

Tourism professionals from around the world have clearly indicated their commitment and confidence in the Russian Travel Market.

This autumn saw an increasing number of International travel professionals 'making the rounds' at an increasing number of Trade Workshops and Exhibitions in Russia and in the Independent States.

General comments indicated continuing growth from the market however the clients are becoming more experienced and increasing their demands.

Figures indicated also show that the Russian middle class is earning more and is spending more on consumer goods and travel.

Visa situations have also been in the news with some countries experiencing their first reductions in Russian arrivals due to tightened Visa regulations however this has lead to sharp increases in countries with simplified Visa regulations.

We do apologise to our readers that our issues have not been so regular. We are working hard on bringing you up to date information from the Russian travel markets, a number of interesting articles and in the future statistics.

Many changes are planned for the Russian Travel Monitor!

May I also take this opportunity to wish you all a Joyous Christmas and that peace will be the theme of the New Year.
