Moscow International Summer Workshop February 2003 The Moscow International Summer workshop took place on February 26th in the Moscow Renaissance hotel for the 5th time and was deemed by all to have been a most successful and effective event.
With a total of more than 40 International participants it was interesting to note that, for many, this was their first promotional event in Russia. The event is strategically scheduled to take place 5-6 weeks prior to the MITT Exhibition. Most international participants had understood the logic of the date and were eagerly meeting with existing and new Russian travel clients to discuss their travel plans and programmes for Summer 2003.
'The Moscow International Workshops are a superb opportunity to make those very important initial contacts that we need for successful marketing in Russia. We have come to Moscow in February to ensure that the Russian Travel Companies will be selling our products and services at the MITT' quoted one of the most satisfied International participants. It was interesting to note that a number of leading Hotel Chains participated this year combining a number of sales visits prior to the Workshop. ' The interest from Russia is high and we still have to establish our position within this market. Therefore this workshop was the ideal opportunity' - Conrad Hotels.
