Aeroflot Quadruples Profits
Russia's flagship carrier announced fourfold increases in it's net profit due to aggressive cost cutting and improved route planning.
The airline netted $.89.3 million in 2002 which is up from $.20.1 in 2001. The airline has been able to go against the worldwide trend any has posted revenues of $.1.56 billion.
Sibir announces 40% increase
Russian's second largest airline announced a 40% increase in traffic last year, carrying 1.3 million passengers in the first half of the year, an increase of 18.4% on the previous year.
