KrasAir presents new flight Moscow - Lisbon
The trade mission of Portugal has presented a new direct flight of KrasAir airlines, Moscow - Lisbon. The flight will be regular performed commencing from May, 2005 on Friday. Starting from June a number of flights will be increase on two - Tuesday and Friday. The flight will depart from Domodedovo airport at 16:45. Return flight from Lisbon to Moscow is scheduled overnight with arrival time to Moscow at 04:45. The airline is going to use modern comfortable airliners Boeing 767-200ER with two class compartments - 12 places in business class and 202 places in economic class. The planes saloons are equipped with audio- vision system providing audio streaming through individual ear- phones. Flexible rates have been developed especially for the new flight, considering all possible passengers categories. Minimum price for return ticket is $429.
Domodedovo appreciated by foreign national carriers
Foreign carriers expressed appreciation to Moscow International Airport Domodedovo for its rendering services to clients. 8 foreign national carriers performing regular flights to Domodedovo participated in the poll. They include Swiss International Air Lines, Lufthansa, EL AL Israel Airlines, SN Brussels Airlines and Emirates. Overwhelming majority of respondents mentioned positively the operation of the air terminal. Special appreciation of air carriers was given to East Lane Handling, general agent responsible for the services sale and complex servicing of air companies. "Always available and work efficiently" - responded representatives of Emirates and Swiss airlines. Foreign air carriers especially mentioned passenger terminal which is comfortable and well kept as well as its efficient service and provision of extra services. Swiss and German airlines estimated highly servicing of incapacitated persons and coordination of terminal's divisions with medical units. Representatives of Israel airline EL Al signaled satisfaction with the high level servicing of VIP passengers. Performed poll in 2004 among 30 airlines in CIS countries and Russia is also revealed uniqueness of the air terminal in number of provided services for different travel segments: Child Center, medical unit rendering services to passengers with disable physical capacity. At the same time, air carriers requested some suggestions to airport administration to work over. These are mainly non-aviation services: notary's services and pet-hotel & pet-shop.
Foreign Airlines increases
Foreign airlines continue to look at business to and from Moscow as air travel increase for a 5th year. Recent additions have included China Eastern airlines, Iberia, Air Lithuania, Pakistan airlines and Turkey's Freebird. New and increased flights have also been inaugurated by Continental and Delta to Atlanta.
Lufthansa, Russia's most active foreign airline continues to increase load factors with 10% more passengers in 2004. The airline now carries just under 1 million passengers from Russia from it's 9 destinations.
Germany's budget airlines also report increases. Germania express now serves 3 destinations in Germany and will be joined by German Wings flying from the renovated facilities of Vnukovo airport.
Thai Airlines has also reported that it expects to commence operations from August.
